Aragon Hiro NH35

Simple, classic, and versatile. Another great timepiece design by Wing and Aragon Watches. This is the more conservative color of this series with the black dial, it features an internal rotating bezel that is controlled by a secondary screw down crown at the two o'clock location. The engine screw down crown is located at the four o'clock location - keeping the look of this timepiece very symmetrical and clean. The Aragon Hiro NH35 came with a silicone strap, and while being very clean and sporty looking, I opted to get the additional black leather NATO strap (and additional cost of $18). This is a great timepiece, at the price point of $250 - this is one of the best values that I have seen yet.

The Review

The Case

The Stainless-Steel case, the dual crowns - one for the internal bezel, the other for the time adjustments - and the exhibition case-back are all very impactful to the simplicity and clean lines of this timepiece. The profile of the case is very unique - it holds a brushed finish on the sides of the case, the lugs also hold the same brushed finish - the interesting thing is the fact that it is a hidden lug design. The side of the bezel is done in a high polish, while the top of the pure fixed bezel is finished with the same brushed look as the sides of the case and incorporates 4 screws that add to the clean conservative look.

The Engine

The SII NH35 - I a hand windable, hacking upgrade to the NH25A. It is a 24 Jewel, 21,600 bph, 41-hour power reserve caliber - and currently one of the most popular movements on the market today. Seiko claims that the NH35A accuracy range is within -20 ~+40 seconds per day. I have measured the time using the Toolwatch.io application and listed the accuracy that I have recorded below.

The Aragon Hiro with the SII NH35 engine came in at 0.0 spd accuracy. This is in the top 1% of all watches when it comes to accuracy.

Wearability

This is another great timepiece by Wing and Aragon, one of the greatest attributes of the Aragon Hiro NH35 - is its versatility. This timepiece can be worn with the silicone strap, it keeps a sports look, while having the ability to wear it with business casual attire. When you change to the Aragon Black Leather NATO strap, it increases the versatility to be able to wear this in full business attire - although I would not wear the leather strap to the pool or lake - there are no limits to where you can wear this quality timepiece. In my opinion, this is definitely ranked as a "Beater" watch - this designation is not a bad thing - the "Beater" designation means that this is an everyday watch, with a change of the strap you can change the entire look of this watch. This is a very high-quality timepiece for the price point, it is a must have piece for your collection - and it quickly made it into my "Beater" box.
