Movement

The Seiko Caliber PC32A is a quartz movement made in Japan - it can be labeled Seiko, SII or Epson. It has zero jewels in the movement. The accuracy is claimed to maintain a loss of less than 30 seconds per month at normal temperature ranges.

Dial & Design

The dial has a nice stainless steel bezel that includes black applied minute markers with a luminous dot at the 12 o'clock position. The dial is finished in a matte, almost royal blue and the applied luminous hour markers are highly visible due to the contrast. The date is located at the 4 o'clock location and has a magnifier on the lens. The arrow shaped hour, minute, and second hands also have a luminous coating, a are easily read with the contrast to the dial face.

Case & Details

The case and bracelet are both made of 304L Stainless Steel, the 304L grade is regarded as the most common austenitic stainless steel. It contains high nickel and chromium content, these levels give the 304L grade excellent corrosion protection.

The case holds a high polished finish, and is a true round case. The lugs create a nice aesthetic look, allowing for an angled bracelet attaching point. This angle helps with the comfort of the watch on smaller wrists. The crown is in a diamond grip finish with the Morphic logo etched on the top. The bracelet is a three link, with the outside links having a brushed finish while the center links are polished.

On The Wrist Experience

My on the wrist experience with this watch was fairly limited, for no other reason that I am not a fan of fashion watches, and with the 5ATM rating - this is a fashion watch. I did wear the watch a couple of times and the weight is fairly light in regards to my normal wear timepieces, but it was very comfortable. The bracelet is nice when it comes to adjustability, as there are link adjustments and clasp micro-adjustments that can be made to ensure a nice fit.

Sales & Customer Service Experience

The only experience that I have had with Morphic, is the web-based sales. It is a typical ecommerce experience - I wish that they would give more information - but that is just my personal opinion. I have not had a bad experience with any of the Morphic watches that I own, and this one came shipped in the Morphic box, with all of the needed protection to ensure that I received the watch without issues.

Final Thoughts & Recommendations

I have my reservations in the value of this watch versus the price, this is not to say that the quality of the watch is bad. The design of the watch is very nice, the finishes did not have any manufacturer flaws - in fact the pictures of the watch on the website don't do justice to the watch at all. My reservations are more on the personal preference side, the movement, the crystal and the grade of stainless should be better in my opinion for this price point. I have included some pictures that better serve this watch, and this would be more of a "gift to my sons" watch than a collector.
