The RGMT Altimeter comes in a very nice travel case, and this is a great thing for those who want to protect their watches when they travel. This an extraordinary looking timepiece, in the image of the altimeters, even the screw heads have the correct places! The RGMT Altimeter has some definite weight to it, although it does not wear very heavy. The dial looks similar to the texture of Line-X, this allows for the hour, minutes and logo to stand out and easily read. The date is located @ 3 o'clock and the date window has been outlined - this is a great attention to detail. A few of the edges are sharp due to the shape of the watch, but when worn those edges do not cause any comfort issues. The black leather strap has contrasting linen stitching, and is very comfortable on the wrist. The RGMT Altimeter is a great timepiece to add to my collection, and would be a great addition to any collection.
The fit:
This is a nice watch to wear in both the business casual and after hours environments. I wore the RGMT Altimeter to work and it was a definite conversation starter - I recieved quite a few inquiries from both men and women. The strap does not lend itself to be a day at the river, lake or beach watch, but that could be remedied by a simple strap change. All in all, this is a great watch and I will wear it as much as possible.
